Lessons and special study seminars have been taking place in Kishinev, capital of Moldova. But the main lecture was given by Chief Rabbi Zalman Abelsky on the subject of learning about the Final Redemption.
Rabbi Abelsky explained what the Final Redemption means, identifying Moshiach (the Messiah), and what we will see.
As part of the lecture, the participants received special study pages on the subject of the Final Redemption and the revelation of Moshiach. There was a very active audience, and many questions were asked. In turn, everyone received very clear answers based upon the Torah. Rabbi Abelsky also spoke about the importance of keeping Torah and mitzvot in order to bring the Final Redemption. Among those present at the lecture were various representatives from the CIS and the United States. Some of these also interviewed Rabbi Abelsky at the end of the talk.
Other learning sessions were held during the day, during which the Jews of Kishinev learned with a group of Chabad workers about mitzvah observance, and Jewish law in the daily life of a Jew when these are permeated with the intention of bringing about the Final Redemption.
